Today I shall be reviewing the best rated highlighter out there.  Every girl dies to have her hands on it.  It’s none other than the one and only The Balm Mary Loumanizer.  So let’s spill the beans and see if its really worthy for its high rating.

What the Balm cosmetics says about it-

MEET MARY-LOU MANIZER, A SEEMINGLY INNOCENT HONEY-HUED LUMINIZER THAT CATCHES EVERYBODY’S EYE. THIS HIGHLIGHTER, SHADOW AND SHIMMER DIFFUSES LIGHT SO YOUR SKIN LOOKS SOFTER AND YOUNGER WHILE ADDING A SUBTLE GLOW.

Packaging and Appearance:

The product has a very impressive packaging.First look at that lady with pouted red lips makes you fall for its tempting packaging. It comes in a flip- open case which has a good quality mirror inside. The pan is grey coloured. It closes with a click sound. As you open the case you will find a mirror inside, but it doesn’t come with any applicator.However if you are comfortable with your fingers for application then it’s not a big deal for you.If you use highlighter often(with fingers) for touch ups then you can just take this in your handbag and yay.. you’re done.

My experience:
It’s a beautiful champagne gold highlighter which can be used as an eyeshadow also. In one swipe it gives an opaque finish.  It gives a very subtle glow to the skin.  It doesn’t contain any glitter chunky particles, hence never looks artificial. Rather the finish is flawless glowy skin. Love it sooooo much.  I like to swipe once with a highlighting brush and use it light handed for that natural glow.
It has mildest chemical smell.

 Love for:
1. Natural finish,  no chunky glitter particles.😍
2. No smell
3. Can be used as an eyeshadow also.
4. Comes in a cute packaging (if packaging matters to you).
5. Suitable for all skin types.
6. Stays all day long (If used with makeup fixer).
7. Little goes a long way.
Hate for:
1. Expensive (Rs 1899) 😵
2. Not easily available in India.
3. It’s very pigmented. So little heavy handed will make you look like a disco ball. 😃
4. Has a lots of chemicals.
5. Can be wiped away if rubbed with a cloth or slept on a pillow 🤣😴


Hit or miss : It’s hit for me for its natural glowy finish and packaging. If u can spend a little more for a highlighter then go for it. Else there are many easily available highlighters in India which will not burn a hole in your pocket. 🤑
